Since it was the day everyone at the house had been waiting for it, everyone was up just a bit earlier so that they could rush those devils out the door. Even you were up and brushing your hair before Lovino and Feliciano came in to wake you up. They had been a bit surprised to see you not lying in your bed trying to get a minute more of sleep and instead almost humming to yourself while you finished braiding your hair.

“Buon giorno bella~” Feliciano was soon over the surprise that you were up before they got in there and greeted you with a grin on his face. You didn’t change yet but you did grab the dress, stockings, and shoes that you were going to wear today like you did every day before this, even your bed looked neat and made up.

“Buon giorno Feli, Lovi.” You were so glad that your Uncle’s family were leaving, something about them being there had started to irritate someone more than usual and you were starting to get worried about them. The others showed the same concern that you did.

“Don’t call me that ragazza!” Lovino blushed and you just giggled, you remembered that he didn’t like being called that but you were in a good mood, the others in the house probably were too. “Why are you up so early anyway?”

“Because those demons are finally leaving and we can all relax for at least a few months before they try and be pains once again.” You paused in getting ready for two reasons, one being that they were in there and two because Feliciano gave you a hug, he really was loveable and friendly.

“What do you mean demons?” Feliciano looked at you confused and you just grinned at him, you forgot that out loud most of you didn’t call them demons or devils so they wouldn’t really know, well unless they put two and two together. As much as you cared about Feliciano and enjoyed having him as a friend you knew that he could be a bit slow at times.

“My Uncle and his family, for now I have to get dressed so you both wait outside.” They nodded and left outside, it didn’t take you long at all to get dressed. When you strapped your right shoe on your foot you were ready for the day, you did a double check before going outside the door, to see two tense Italians and the twin reasons in front of them.

“Are you sure you don’t want to play with us?” The twins apparently didn’t notice or care that you just opened the door and were coming out of your room. “It is our last day and we want to know how fun our cousin’s ‘guards’ are.”

“What do you two think you’re doing?” By now it was obvious that they didn’t believe that Feliciano and Lovino were any breed of security guard, but they had no proof that they could show to anyone. So instead they had just been trying to bother them. You narrowed your eyes at them, they really knew how to ruin someone’s good mood, but it was impolite to act excited that they were leaving so it was for the best.

“We’re just asking a question.” Francois looked bored as he spoke his sister sharing the same expression on her face.

“When I told you two to leave them alone I meant it, you can still be sent to Sebastian if you cause any trouble before you leave today.” You looked down on them standing straighter than usual and doing your best to look intimidating with your narrowed eyes. They seemed to not really care though, but that’s how they always were if they weren’t pranking someone.

“How boring.” Francine kept the same look, and her tone dropped to the same level of boredom, if they were bored why couldn’t they do normal kid things, like play hide-n-seek, tag, then maybe you would play with them, but no they always had to be up to something. Lovino and Feliciano didn’t seem as tense now that they didn’t have to worry about getting in trouble for, according to what you heard, denying a request of someone they had been conditioned to think of as superior to them.

“Well it looks like you’ll just have to annoy Aunt Flo and Uncle Acelin, now come on we have to get downstairs.” You walked with them, keeping an eye on them and watched for any tricks they might have set up. When you entered the dining room you were in pace with them so that kept your Aunt Flo quiet, however you noticed someone at the table was very tense, he had been increasingly more tense each day and it was obvious that though your mom was happy that they were leaving she was worried about him. Just like they usually did both Lovino and Feliciano went into the smaller dining area that the rest of them were eating at. Through breakfast it was relatively silent like usual, this time you weren’t allows to leave until everyone else was done today since they were leaving. You took your time since you couldn’t leave anyway and still finished a few minutes before the last person finished their breakfast. You all stood up and when you went to go to the front doors Lucas, Sebastian, Rosaline, Lovino and Feliciano were all standing in a line with the bags of your Uncle’s family resting in front of them so they could take it to the carriage.

“Are you all sure that this is everything? I can’t afford to leave anything behind.” Aunt Flo looked at the boxes, but you knew that she wasn’t going to go through them, plus if they had forgotten anything she would either have it mailed to her or she would come back for it. No one wanted to risk that so they were all very thorough in making sure they had everything.

“Yes ma’am we all double checked the bags we were responsible for, you have no need to worry.” Lucas grinned at her and Aunt Flo watched them for a minute before she accepted his answer and just stood there with her usual scowl.

“Remember what we spoke about Acelet, I am losing my patience with you and how you are running your household. We are not common swine.” Your Uncle narrowed his eyes at your Father, and he returned the gesture nearly kicking his brother’s family out. When the doors shut he retreated to his office with a concerned Sebastian following him.

“Mama, what happened between Daddy and Uncle?” You were going to say Uncle Asshole, though that would be an appropriate name, you feared they could still hear you with their giant bat like ears.

“I’m not sure, they’ve been arguing ever since that bastard arrived in his office, but he won’t tell me what they’ve been talking about. He’s really angry today, I’ll go and try to talk to him, you all just relax, I know the past few days have been tough on all of you as well.” Your mother ran off following your father and Sebastian to his office. While you looked after her before Lucas put a hand on his shoulder.

“Hey it’s okay, I’m sure that everything will be back to normal by tomorrow, being around those people can test anyone’s temper.” You looked at Lucas and nodded with a smile before you just wandered up to your room and sat at your desk with your head resting on your arms trying to think of all the possibilities of what could have made your father so angry. It was rare when he was mad or upset like this, even when it came to your Uncle he was able to keep a relatively cool head, but not this time. It left you wondering what could have gone so wrong that upset him like this. Your uncle said something about how daddy runs the house, but he always complains that he’s too easy on the people that work here and on you about your life style so far, more so your lack of a suitor, but it never really bothered him before. What was so different this time unless there was something new to the usual mix… You sighed closing your eyes and just trying to think about ways that you might be able to cheer your father up with, you doubted drawing a poorly done picture and putting your hair in pigtails while you took it to him would be as cute as it was when you were six so that was out. You felt someone touch your shoulder and calmly opened your eyes.

“Hm?” You didn’t turn or lift your head for a second and when you did you saw Feliciano and he had a concerned look on his face. How long had you locked yourself away in here? You weren’t sure if you really cared, you were just worried about what could be upsetting your father so much.

“Are you okay bella..?” You tried to smile up at him so that he wouldn’t worry about you, it was sweet that he did, but he didn’t need to. You expected him and Lovino to be off doing something by themselves after being stuck with you the past few days.

“Yes, I’m fine.” He frowned a bit more, guess you weren’t that convincing, but it was kind of true, you were fine, it was the person that looked ready to blow his top that you were worried about.

“Bella… you’re not a good liar, what’s the matter?” You looked up at him for a moment but you sighed with a sad smile, just looking at the paper and books on your desk for a minute. It wasn’t that difficult to explain, but something just stopped you for a moment, though there had always been people here that were concerned about you, you never felt comfortable telling them your problems seeing as how they had enough to do.

“I’m just worried about papa, Uncle relaly made him mad, I’ve never seen him like this. I just don’t know what I’m supposed to do, I don’t like seeing him this upset.” You sighed again and Feliciano smiled softly at you.

“It’ll be okay bella, your padre will be happy soon, he just needs to relax a little bit. I know what might help! Pasta always makes me feel better, I’ll-a ask Rosaline if we can make that for dinner, I know fratello will help me make it too! Ve~” He cheered towards the end and you couldn’t help but smile at his sweet behavior, though it could be a nice distraction from what was bothering you.

“Feliciano do you mind if I help you?” You looked up at him and he paused a bit surprised, but his smile was back in the blink of an eye. He took your hand and was already starting to pull you towards the kitchen.

“Of course you can~ It’ll be fun to teach you!” Feliciano just barely remembered to see if Lovino wanted to help cook, but when he opened Lovino’s door, he just barely dodged a flying pillow and decided to leave him alone. He took you down to the library where Rosaline was cleaning up a little more, it was still a little while before dinner needed to be made and served. “Ve~ Rosaline, can we-a make pasta for dinner?”

“Huh? Sure hun, if you want to. Do you need any help?” The last time they made it they didn’t really let anyone help since they wanted it to be a surprise, but you guessed that she figured since it wasn’t this time that she wanted to try and help if they needed it.

“No, I already have bella helping me~ I’ll go start now, so that I can teach her!” He took your hand again and you just barely waved a brief goodbye to Rosaline before you were dragged into the kitchen, he grabbed all the ingredients having no problem finding everything that he needed. Then he showed you how to mix them together after rolling up his sleeves and making sure that you both washed your hands.  He was the one that mixed the eggs, salt, and flour together until it formed dough and you were supposed to knead it for a few minutes. You watched as it turned from powder into the thick dough consistency, it took a few minutes for that to happen, but when it was done after it set for a minute or two Feliciano showed you how to kneed it before you started to try it. It was a bit tougher than it looked since you weren’t really all that strong considering most of the time you didn’t have to do that much. You were trying though. “Here bella, let me help.”

“Okay.” You thought that he was just going to take it from you or something but he stood behind you and placed his hands over yours adding pressure when you had to kneed it so that you would have a bit more weight and some more force behind it to make sure that it stretched out well. Even though you were used to him hugging you, it made you blush a bit at first before you just stopped caring all together and just let him help you. He was a friend after all, besides it wasn’t too much different from when he dragged you around or hugged you.

“There we go~ Now we just need to make some slices and put it through the pasta maker!” You watched him cut pieces of the kneaded dough and you stretched half of them into more rectangular shapes while he did the other half when he wasn’t checking on the sauce that he started. When that was done he turned the crank letting the dough flatten, for each one he did it quite a few times until it was the thickest that he wanted it at, you were mainly in charge of keeping the sauce stirred so that it didn’t burn at this point, once he had all that done, he put it through the other side of the device and started to create the thin strands of pasta, when all of it had been made he put the strands in the water and everything came together faster from there. When the plates had finally been made he looked proud of himself. “That was fun! I wish that we could make pasta every day!”

“I think even you might get a bit tired of it if you made it every day Feliciano.” You chuckled, but Feliciano looked surprised that you would even say such a thing. Then again judging by how many pastas he knew how to make and how much he seemed to enjoy making it maybe he would never get tired of it.

“How could anyone ever get tired of pasta?” His expression made you laugh softly, but he still waited for an answer until you shook your head making him smile again, he set the table with your help before he went to go get who he could find and you left to go and get whoever you could find. You went straight to your father’s office though.

“Daddy, dinner’s done.” You knocked first and heard grumbles from inside before Sebastian opened the door.

“I apologize ___, but your father will not be joining you for dinner, I will in turn bring his plate to his office. Thank you for telling us.” You looked up at his and nodded, he seemed to have a concerned look in his eye as he closed the door scurried to the dining room then back to the office while you just went to your parent’s room in search of your mother.

“Mama, dinner’s ready if you’re coming down to eat.” Your mother opened the door and you smiled up at her, but she seemed to be in the same mood that you had been in earlier. You frowned a bit seeing this, no wonder Feliciano had been concerned about you, she looked a bit dead to the world.

“I’m sorry sweetie, but I’m not in the mood to eat right now, thank you but I think that for now I’m just going to bed.” You nodded and went down stairs taking your usual seat, noticing how everyone else was probably in the other dining room, you looked around the table and suddenly remembered a time when you were younger, daddy and momma didn’t always used to be around. It made you sigh quietly, but it was almost frightening how easy it was for you to revert back into the same state you had been in that time ago.
